Meet The Team

Eleanor Daulby

Eleanor has a Graduate Diploma in Law and recently spent 5 months volunteering with a local charity in Nepal focused on enhancing education and gender equality for girls from marginalised communities. During her stay she visited remote regions that were badly impacted by the earthquake, and local schools that were damaged. Through her experiences and interactions with local people, including teachers and engineers, she gained indispensable knowledge on how we should approach the rebuilding process. Eleanor is a trustee of Build With Nepal.

Andy Lowe

Andy coordinated an emergency fundraising effort in the immediate aftermath of the earthquake in order to provide tents for the displaced people – but the need for a more long term solution is what inspired the creation of Build With Nepal. His connection with the country started when in 2009 he organised and lead a trip of 50 Nottingham University students to travel to Nepal on a trekking expedition to Everest Base Camp, after fundraising £100,000 for charity. The local connections that were formed at that time are now a critical part of the charities work in the country. Andy is a trustee of Build With Nepal.

Chris Holton

Chris is a neuroscientist at King’s College London and conducts research for medical charities. He has been working with many different charities for several years and has great fundraising experience. Chris is particularly passionate about contributing to the rebuilding efforts of the communities in Nepal because he visited the country on a previous charity expedition where he experienced the country first hand. Chris is a trustee of Build With Nepal.

Sushant Gupta

Sushant is a chartered accountant and has previously worked with a UK based grassroots charity. In his role as a fundraising manager, he helped raise over £2m and organised several expeditions to Nepal, India and Tanzania. He also helped fundraise after the earthquake in Nepal along with the other trustees to aide the rural relief effort. Sushant was one of the organisers and leaders of a student trip to Everest Base Camp in Nepal in 2009 which raised £100,000, and is a trustee of Build With Nepal.

Umesh Kumar

Umesh is a serial entrepreneur who is co-founder of Pace Ventures, an innovation consultancy that bridges the gap between the corporate and startup worlds. He also co-founded Pi Labs, Europe’s first property focused accelerator programme based in London. Alongside running Pace Ventures, Umesh mentors on a range of UK based accelerator programmes and startup programmes such as Virgin Startups. He also undertakes charity work, working with widowed women and young children in post civil war Sri Lanka. His other charity, Future For Jaffna, has worked with over 120 women helping them set up their own businesses whilst offering education and skills training to their families. Umesh is a trustee of Build With Nepal.
